About GoTyme

GoTyme is a joint venture between the Gokongwei Group, one of the biggest conglomerates in the Philippines, and the Singapore-headquartered digital banking group Tyme. At GoTyme, we have embarked on a journey to democratize financial services in the Philippines through the launch of a game-changing digital bank. We are seeking individuals who share our belief that the game is worth changing, to join our growing team of GoTymers as we build, launch, and scale a bank that empowers all Filipinos to navigate a path to financial freedom.

What is expected of you

As the Market and Liquidity Risk Manager for GoTyme Bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's financial stability and compliance with regulatory requirements by measuring, monitoring, and reporting on the bank's market and liquidity risk exposures. You are also to provide the 2nd line function to oversee by measuring, monitoring and reporting on the bank's financial exposures on market, IRBB and liquidity risks, ensuring it is operating within thresholds on values at risk. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of market dynamics, risk management practices, and financial products. This includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement market and liquidity risk management framework: Design and maintain comprehensive risk policies, methodologies, and limits to manage various market and liquidity risks associated with the bank's operations.
  • Monitor and assess market and liquidity risks: Evaluate potential risks across all products, portfolios, and business lines, and develop robust risk monitoring tools, methodologies, and models. Ensure timely identification, measurement, and reporting of market and liquidity risks.
  • Perform risk assessments: Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and other risk assessments to evaluate the impact of unfavorable market conditions and liquidity events on the bank's solvency, profitability, and liquidity position over a reasonable or forecasted time horizon.
  • Risk reporting and communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, including risk measurement metrics, trend analysis, and action plans. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on risk-related matters.
  • Develop risk management strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies to mitigate IRRBB, market and liquidity risks. Ensure risk management practices align with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with market developments: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and global market developments to assess their impact on the bank's risk exposure. Provide recommendations and implement necessary precautions to align the bank with the changing market dynamics.
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant market and liquidity risk regulations, guidelines, and best practices issued by regulatory bodies. Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory POCs to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Engagement: Work closely with Product Strategy, Treasury, Payments, and Finance teams in the design and development of products and processes that may have an impact on the financial risks in your oversight through establishing appropriate protocols of escalation and remediation.
