Manufacturing Pharmacist

We are seeking a Manufacturing Pharmacist with a strong background in animal health and nutrition, specifically for hogs and poultry. This role is critical in ensuring all veterinary pharmaceutical and nutritional products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. You will oversee production processes, ensure product quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations. It also includes warehouse flow management.

Responsibilities

Oversee the manufacturing of veterinary pharmaceutical and nutritional products for hogs and poultry.

Ensure compliance with FDA, BAI, GMP, and company quality standards across all production activities.

Formulate, review, and optimize manufacturing procedures, batch records, and SOPs.

Monitor production lines to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to specifications.

Conduct in-process quality checks and coordinate with QA/QC teams for product release.

Support R&D and technical teams in product improvement and scale-up activities.

Lead investigations for deviations, non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.

Train production personnel on proper handling, safety, and GMP practices.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory readiness at all times.

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist (required)

Experience in veterinary pharmaceuticals, feed additives, or animal nutrition manufacturing preferred.

Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of hog and poultry health, nutrition, and medication is a strong advantage.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
