Minimum Qualification Standards:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Training: 8 hours of relevant training
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Eligibility: Career Service Professional)/2nd Level Eligibility
Preferred Qualification (Competency-Based)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education preferably in Vocational Education or
Industrial Technology Education
Training : 8 hours of relevant training on any of the following topical areas:
orientation on vocational rehabilitation laws on persons with
disabilities and sensitivities to persons with disabilities, effective
communication skills for PWDS, Teaching Methodology (TM)
Other Qualifications: TESDA National Certificate (NC) II in Hilot Wellness Massage or
Licensed Massage Therapist and National TVET Trainers
Certificate (NTTC) Holder
Experience: 2 years of experience relevant to implementation of social welfare
programs and services exposure to social welfare residential-based
and community based program implementation exposure to vocational
rehabilitation or vocational skills training facilities.
Primary Tasks:
Under general supervision, performs professional and technical functions of the assigned vocational training course
Directs a small group to provide vocational skills to the blind and other disability categories in a vocational rehabilitation center setting
Develops training modules that are appropriate to foster competencies of clients and corresponding appropriate tools for assessment
Evaluates trainees in the performance and progress of their vocational skills training
Provides instructions to the persons with disabilities or special groups with personality and emotional problems using special and adopted methods, techniques and strategies
Takes periodic progress reports of clients
Collaborates with other rehabilitation team members in the evaluation of the clients
Coordinates with vocational training providers and other industry partners for the on-the-job training of clients.
Assesses performance and provides technical assistance to supervised staff
Attends meetings, seminars, conferences
Performs other related functions.
