Job Description
Role Summary:
The Manager for Project Controllership supports the AVP in managing ARI's capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives and capital structuring efforts. This role involves providing financial analysis, cost management, and reporting for CAPEX projects, while supporting capital structuring strategies and performing valuation and impairment assessments.
The Manager ensures compliance with financial and accounting standards and helps implement controls to optimize ARI's financial resources. Key tasks include assisting in the preparation of valuation models, supporting capital structuring analysis, and enhancing processes for CAPEX cost tracking and reporting.
Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:
CAPEX Financial Control and Reporting
-Develops and maintains tracking systems for CAPEX project costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
-Assists the AVP in preparing CAPEX financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
-Monitors budget adherence and identifies cost-saving opportunities, ensuring alignment with ARI's financial policies and goals.
-Implements and enforces internal controls over CAPEX processes, supporting compliance with company standards.
Support for Capital Structuring
-Works closely with the AVP on capital structuring strategies, conducting analysis to optimize resource allocation for CAPEX projects.
-Provides data and insights for evaluating financing options, cash flow projections, and debt structuring to enhance project viability.
-Prepares reports and recommendations for the AVP to present to senior management, ensuring a strong foundation for strategic financial decisions.
Project Cost Management and Performance Analysis
-Collaborates with project teams to review and validate CAPEX cost forecasts, ensuring alignment with historical data and financial projections.
-Provides ongoing analysis of project costs and cost variances, reporting findings to the AVP and recommending actions as needed.
-Coordinates with Project Development, Project Management, and Finance teams to gather data for comprehensive financial performance reports.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
-Builds relationships with internal stakeholders such as the Project Development and Business Development teams to facilitate CAPEX-related processes.
-Liaises with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and auditors, to ensure smooth financial operations and address CAPEX-related inquiries.
-Prepares consolidated CAPEX and valuation reports to support informed decision-making by ARI's management and relevant stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Applied Math, Engineering or a related field.
-Strong understanding of CAPEX management, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
-Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
-Licenses (CPA, CMA, etc.) not required but an advantage
