Job Description

The Global Risk Intelligence & Technology (GRIT) team is expanding its digital, reporting, and analytical capabilities to better support Model Risk Operations (MRO). We are seeking a Manager, Model Risk Operations (MRO), to design, enhance, and scale automated reporting, dashboards, and workflows that strengthen how model risk is monitored and communicated across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of data, technology, governance, and operations. You will collaborate with partners across actuarial, finance, risk, and engineering to streamline reporting processes, reinforce controls, and evolve our analytics ecosystem using tools such as Power Platform, Azure, Databricks, and emerging GenAI capabilities. You'll join a culture that encourages curiosity, innovation, authenticity, and continuous learningsupported by a flexible hybrid model that enables collaboration and balance.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Reporting Development

  • Build automated reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Develop dashboards and operational workflows that support model lifecycle tracking, model issues management, remediation progress, and key risk indicators.
  • Reduce manual effort through scalable, end-to-end automation.

Cloud & Data Engineering

  • Support data ingestion, transformation, and validation using Azure and Databricks.
  • Establish controlled, auditable, and scalable data models aligned with governance requirements.
  • Identify thoughtful, compliant opportunities to leverage GenAI for documentation, testing, or analytical acceleration.

Model Risk Operations Support

  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Strengthen controls and validation processes that enable consistent and reliable reporting standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with actuarial, analytics, finance, and technology teams many collaborating remotely to clarify requirements and iterate on reporting and workflow solutions.
  • Document processes, logic, and workflows clearly to support transparency and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • 58 years of experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, or risk management.
  • Experience in risk reporting, data automation, analytics engineering, or similar domains.
  • Proficiency with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dataflows), Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Working knowledge of Azure, Databricks, or similar cloud environments for processing large datasets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, data quality, and controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within digital-first and remote environments.
  • Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills; showing tact and diplomacy in dealing with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial reporting related data quality controls and assurance.
  • Exposure to Model Risk Management principles or model lifecycle frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data preparation or analytics.
  • Interest in GenAI/LLM-based tools for documentation or efficiency gains.
