Position Summary:
This is a strategic finance leadership role responsible for driving and delivering significant improvements to the organization's financial processes, systems and capabilities. This role bridges the gap between finance and technology, ensuring the finance function is agile, efficient and aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The manager (for finance transformation) leads major change initiatives, leveraging technology and process optimization to enhance financial performance and decisionmaking.
The core responsibilities of the role include:
- Strategic transformation leadership: Developing and executing a comprehensive finance transformation strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
- Process optimization and automation: Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline financial processes through automation and technology solutions.
- Financial system implementation and management: Experience in conducting Business Process Review and/or Business Process Improvement Activities. (BPR on Financial System related processes)
- Change management: Leading organizational change initiatives related to finance transformation, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption of new processes and systems.
- Project management: Managing complex finance transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Stakeholder management: Collaborate with CFOs, IT, and business units to bridge gaps between finance and technology
- Data analytics and reporting: Driving the use of data analytics to improve financial insights and reporting capabilities.
- Risk management and compliance: Ensure financial systems meet regulatory standards (e.g., GAAP, SEC) while mitigating risks through robust controls
- Team leadership and development: Leading and mentoring a team of finance transformation professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Vendor relationship management: Managing relationships with external vendors and consultants involved in finance transformation projects.
Key qualifications and skills include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification: Holding a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA).
- Extensive experience in finance transformation: Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering large-scale finance transformation projects.
- ERP system expertise: In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and other financial technologies.
- Strategic thinking and planning: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Change management expertise: Proven ability to lead and manage organizational change initiatives.
- Project management skills: Strong project management skills, including experience managing complex projects.
