Mainframe Project Manager

Must-Have

12 years of Experience in delivering Mainframe Projects

Mainframe Domain Knowledge, Strong understanding of IBM Mainframe systems (z/OS), Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM concepts.

Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery (planning, execution, monitoring, closure), Proficiency in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.Risk, issue, and dependency management

Hands-on experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, Clarity, etc.). Familiarity with change/release management and IT governance. Knowledge of compliance and security standards in mainframe environments.

Certifications (Preferred but Often Expected), PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master.

Good-to-Have

Requirement documentation, planning and defining project scope

Resource planning, effort estimation, Work breakdown structure (WBS)

Good skills on Microsoft Project

Cost estimating, developing budget, risks analysis and appropriate project Documentation

Ability to manage multiple projects and effective time management for self and resources

Ability to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders and client

Clear understanding of project management methodologies PMP or Prince2.Certification on project management preferred

Reporting on project from schedule, scope, cost, risk and issues

Work closely with BAU team and the Service Delivery Manager on all projects and associated BAU activities

Change preparation, getting approvals through CAB, effective communication to key stake holders and successful implementation of changes

Maintain 99.8% success rate on Project changes.

Work under the guidelines of the service Delivery manager on all aspects of the agreed project deliverables

Flexible work ethics including working in non-business hours and weekends for project change implementation.

Willing to take additional responsibilities or act as a backup for any other team member within the team
