Technical lead with strong knowledge in Mainframe

Work as part of scrum teams and participate effectively in all scrum events

Liaison with the client to work on key projects

Responsible for end to end deliverable.

Mainframe Engineer (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, DB2) Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical mainframe applications as part of a high-performing engineering team, delivering reliable and scalable solutions that support core business operations. You will work in a collaborative and inclusive environment, contributing to systems that process high-volume transactions with a strong focus on performance, stability, and efficiency. This role provides opportunities to modernize legacy systems, integrate with distributed platforms, and continuously enhance your technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a core member of an agile engineering team to design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications Develop and enhance programs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, and DB2.
• Write, test, and debug batch and online programs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Optimize existing applications through refactoring and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements Support deployment and monitoring across development, test, and production environments.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and integration with distributed systems.
• Minimum Qualifications:6+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, and DB2.
• Strong understanding of batch processing, online transaction systems, and data structures Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices. Knowledge of database concepts and query optimization in DB2. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
