Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate pre-polishing and final polishing machines according to process specifications.
- Set up polishing tools, fixtures, and materials for production.
- Monitor machine parameters and cycle time to ensure consistent output.
- Inspect optical parts for surface defects and quality compliance.
- Record production data and report abnormalities or non-conforming parts.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety and standard operating procedures.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing is an advantage.
- At least 13 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in polishing or optical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with precision components and quality inspection is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to operate and set up polishing machines.
- Strong attention to detail for detecting surface defects.
- Basic measurement and inspection skills.
- Good documentation and reporting abilities.
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures.
- Good teamwork and time management skills.
Working Conditions
- 100% onsite work in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and handling delicate optical components.
- May involve exposure to polishing compounds, machine noise, and chemicals.
- Must follow strict safety, cleanliness, and contamination control procedures.
- Work schedule is 6 days per week, with occasional Sunday work when required to support production needs.
