Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle and prepare silicon optical components for processing
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality, with basic use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges)
- Operate manufacturing equipment according to standard procedures
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Follow safety rules, SOPs, and proper handling procedures
- Record process data and report any abnormalities or defects
- Support production targets and team operations as needed
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field is a plus
- Vocational/technical course in manufacturing, machining, or a related field
Skills
- Basic machine operation and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow work instructions, SOPs, and safety rules
- Basic understanding of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges)
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Careful handling of fragile silicon or optical components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic documentation and record-keeping skills
Working Conditions
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and fine particles
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, mask)
- Involves standing for long periods and repetitive hand movements
- Requires handling of small, delicate silicon or optical components
- 100% onsite work
- Occasional Sunday work depending on shipment demand
