Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform degreasing of silicon parts following approved work instructions and cleanliness standards.
- Execute blocking and deblocking processes to ensure proper part mounting and safe removal without damage.
- Conduct in-process and post-process inspections to check surface condition, defects, and overall part quality.
- Handle parts carefully to prevent scratches, contamination, or breakage.
- Accurately record inspection results, process data, and lot history.
- Follow safety rules, quality requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream processes to ensure smooth workflow and timely handoff.
Education & Experience
- Minimum requirement: College level or equivalent (technical/vocational background preferred)
- Preferred: Vocational or technical training in manufacturing, machining or related fields is an advantage but not required.
Skills
- Knowledge of degreasing, blocking, and deblocking processes for silicon optics
- Ability to perform visual and basic dimensional inspection
- Strong attention to detail to detect surface defects and contamination
- Good handeye coordination for handling fragile parts
- Basic understanding of work instructions, quality standards, and process flow
- Ability to record data accurately and follow documentation requirements
- Good teamwork and communication skills
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite
- Requires standing for long periods and handling delicate optical parts
- Shifting operations and occasional Sunday overtime based on production demands.
- Exposure to chemicals used in degreasing, with required use of PPE (gloves, goggles, masks)
- Handling of small, delicate silicon parts requiring steady hands and focus
