Job Description
Job Description: The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient planning, execution and continuous improvement of delivery and dispatch activities. This role is responsible for supervising dispatchers and drivers, managing performance, enforcing policies and resolving operational issues to meet service, cost and safety objectives.
Reports to Operations Manager.
Duties
Supervise and manage dispatchers and drivers to ensure smooth daily operations
Plan and optimize delivery routes, fleet utilization and manpower scheduling
Monitor logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost efficiency, vehicle utilization and service levels
Address escalations, delivery exceptions and customer service issues
Ensure compliance with safety standards, transport regulations and company policies
Coordinate with warehouse, sales and customer service teams for delivery planning
Conduct performance reviews, coaching and training for dispatchers and drivers
Prepare and analyze operational reports and recommend process improvements
Manage fleet-related concerns including vehicle utilization, preventive maintenance scheduling, monitoring of vehicle registration and insurance and compliance documentation.
