Principal purpose of the position
The
Logistics Staff supports the Distribution Supervisor in ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely delivery operations. This role monitors GBPI and third-party truck movements, tracks shipping items, maintains ISO and HACCP documentation, and provides operational support across key distribution functions to ensure service reliability and compliance.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate truck assignment and location monitoring records for GBPI and third-party truckers.
- Analyze daily truck tray allocation and communicate updates to delivery and feeder crews.
- Monitor truckers compliance with arrival and departure schedules at plants, feeding stations, and store outlets.
- Provide timely updates on delivery concerns to the Sales team and feeder bread transfer issues to the Dispatch team.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of shipping items and materials requested by Sales.
- Prepare, update, and maintain ISO and HACCP documentation for the Distribution section.
- Issue late arrival penalty notices to truckers when applicable.
- Assist in preparing work schedules for delivery and feeder crews as needed.
- Prepare performance and productivity reports for feeder crews, delivery crews, and third-party truckers.
- Analyze product compliance and truck capacity utilization reports.
- Monitor and report pending or unremitted documents from truckers.
- Prepare and issue pre-invoice documents for routes, purchase orders, and other delivery requirements.
- Perform other distribution-related tasks as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in distribution, logistics, or operations is an advantage but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and coordination skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, extended hours, and holidays.
