Logistics Planner (Route and Load)

The Logistics Planner is responsible for developing efficient and cost-effective route and load plans for all approved delivery orders. The role ensures optimal truck utilization, realistic routing based on traffic conditions, and on-time dispatch operations. This position closely coordinates with Warehouse, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of deliveries while maintaining compliance with company policies and performance standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible in crafting a load and route plan of all approved orders scheduled for delivery.

2. The Dispatcher ensures that all orders to be dispatched satisfy the following:

a. Route is within the economic load or within the budgeted cost-to-sales.

b. Trucks are optimized up to its weigh and volume capacity.

c. Routing / Grouping of delivery are realistic given the traffic situation

3. Responsible in coordinating with Warehouse Team all orders scheduled for delivery.

a. For Order Processor -for DO processing and picklist generation

b. For Picker / Stock Custodian for picking and staging

c. For Stock Analyst for ensuring availability of stocks

4. Schedule appropriate truck, driver and number of helper for each group of order that also corresponds to load plan.

a. Coordinates with accredited third-party trucker to complement existing fleet of trucks if warranted by volume of stocks for delivery

5. Secure approval of Logistics Supervisor, Logistics Manager of proposed route and load plan prior to execution.

a. Email approved route and load plan to Sales Team, Logistics Manager and Dispatch Team for common reference.

6. Cascade delivery schedule dispatchers, drivers and delivery helper.

a. For checker and dispatcher via Route and Load Plan Template.

b. For driver and helper via bulletin board schedule.

7. Monitor progress of route and load plan via Mobile phone or GPS tool and coordinate with concern Sales Team via Text or Viber.

8. Coordinate with Sales Team all problems encountered along the way or on the delivery destination that affect receipt of delivery.

a. Seek Sales Team's disposition before allowing trucks

to leave the customers premises

9. Ensures all trucks complies with the preventive maintenance schedule and process all job orders required for all repairs and maintenance.

10. Assist the Logistics Manager in managing accredited third-party trucker by ensuring proper distribution of trips among accredited partner are being provided for sustainability of partnership.

a. Leads compilation of 3rd-party performance documents for monthly consolidation and evaluation.

11. Manage, supervise, coach and motivate subordinates.

12. Promote and ensure the teams adherence to department and company's policies and procedures.

13 Leads the Dispatch and Delivery Team to be more performance driven; adheres and promote the departments KRA/KPI.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a graduate of any Bachelor's/College Degree.
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity/role.
• Knowledgeable in standard software applications including MS Windows, MS Office Excel (PIVOT, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP) is a must.
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Familiar with Metro Manila routes and with Modern Trade requirements.
• Able to handle stress related to month-end sales cut off and physical count
• Matured, good in handling people, good collaborator, good negotiator and a team player.
• Must be willing to be assigned in QC Head Office.
