Job Description

This Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing the logistics process, ensuring the compliant and efficient and effective movement of goods from production to customers. This role focuses on the strategic planning and management of logistics, optimizing operations, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, and team leadership. They will play a key role in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and services.

The role will report to Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
  • Design and oversee logistics operations, including inspections, packaging, order fulfillment and transportation/shipping.
  • Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Work with production to identify needs and schedule accordingly demo requirements
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
  • Coordinate with productions and internal customers (hubs) to ensure timely and accurate order deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Supervise and manage relationships with third-party providers (couriers and freight forwarders).
  • Handle and manage complaint issues raised by the internal customers (hubs)
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics associates.
  • Track and analyze key logistics metrics, such as transit times, transportation or shipping costs, and turnover rates.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into logistics performance and areas for improvement.
  • Use logistics data to reduce lead times and improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 years in logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
  • Additional certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is an advantage.
  • At least with experience working in a manufacturing environment.
