Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Identification & Assessment
  2. Regularly conduct comprehensive risk inspections and assessments across national and regional operations. Identify, analyze, and document potential risks in areas such as strategic planning, market conditions, financial stability, operational processes, and regulatory compliance. Develop risk profiles and prioritize risks based on severity and impact to the business.
  3. Risk Mitigation Implementation Oversight
  4. Oversee and ensure the effective implementation of risk mitigation and response measures established by headquarters, regional offices, and local operational units. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align risk management strategies with business objectives and ensure consistency across all levels of the organization.
  5. Risk Rectification & Continuous Monitoring
  6. Monitor the execution and progress of risk rectification plans. Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions through audits and performance reviews. Proactively identify gaps, deviations, or delays in execution, and issue timely warnings or escalation reports. Drive accountability among stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are completed, establishing a closed-loop risk management system.
  7. Reporting & Communication
  8. Prepare detailed and timely risk management reports and briefings at both national and regional levels. Clearly communicate current risk status, key findings, emerging threats, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, including country/regional directors and the Risk & Compliance Management Office. Ensure reports support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  9. Compliance & Governance Support
  10. Ensure all logistics operations comply with internal policies, industry standards, and government regulations. Collaborate with compliance teams to update policies and procedures in response to evolving regulatory requirements and operational risks.
  11. Cross-functional Collaboration
  12. Work closely with departments such as finance, operations, procurement, and legal to integrate risk management practices into daily logistics activities. Promote a risk-aware culture and provide guidance to teams on best practices.
  13. Process Improvement & Risk Prevention
  14. Continuously review and improve logistics processes to minimize risks and enhance efficiency. Recommend and implement preventive measures, including system enhancements, workflow improvements, and staff training programs.
  15. Crisis Management & Response
  16. Lead or support response efforts during critical incidents or disruptions in logistics operations. Ensure timely resolution, minimize impact on business continuity, and conduct post-incident reviews to strengthen future risk preparedness.
