Job Description

To enhance customer satisfaction, prevent stockouts, and maximize store sales and profits, we perform accurate and appropriate import customs clearance operations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With deep expertise and operational experience in international tradeincluding imports, customs clearance, and HS code verificationcentralize management of import information for non-commodity items (ranging from store supplies and IT equipment to Marketing gifts and shopping bags). Support and manage seamless imports and customs clearance from product shipment to warehouse arrival.

Collaborate closely with ordering departments to calculate required shipping timelines based on delivery deadlines and support license acquisition. Maintain in-house control rather than relying solely on vendors or forwarders.

Perform appropriate HS code selection and verification, confirm COs and BOMs, and conduct FB. Also, demand adherence to delivery deadlines and achievement of KPIs from customs brokers, forwarding companies, shipping lines, and airlines.

Understand contracts with customs brokers and forwarding companies and execute payment operations.

Proactively identify issues, promptly report, communicate, and consult with supervisors. Maintain accountability and follow through until problems are resolved. Possess communication skills for relationship building and problem solving with customs brokers, forwarding companies, and 3PLs, along with negotiation skills.

Support and assist with import customs clearance for merchandise (apparel) when team members are absent.

Collaborate closely with the warehouse team (DC/EC), delivery team, relevant other departments within the company, and externally with 3PL to ensure smooth operations.

Available to work weekends and holidays during the busy seasons of November and December, as well as during the two annual sales peaks (e.g., Thanksgiving), to provide accurate judgment and instructions to 3PL.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferably 5+ years of practical experience in forwarding or trading companies. Possesses deep expertise and operational experience in forwarding, import/export, customs clearance, and compliance.

Customer-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail in delivering services.

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and communication skills.

Demonstrates logical thinking and attention to detail.

Available to work weekends and holidays.
