The
Loans Management Unit Head is responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and governance of loan-related IT systems and processes. This role ensures the seamless operation, compliance, and efficiency of all loan-related IT systems. The Unit Head will act as the owner of these systems, driving process improvements, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance while leading a high-performing team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take full accountability and ownership of the Loan Management System (LMS), Loan Origination System (LOS), Loans Administration Department (LAD), and all loan-related IT systems (e.g, Temenos Transact)
- Collaborate with ITG, business units, risk, and compliance teams to ensure seamless functionality and security of loan systems, preventing fraud and operational risks
- Enforce adherence of loans systems solution design to internal IT SDLC, architecture strategy and governance structure
- Facilitate training and change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of loan-related IT systems by all users
- Optimize resource allocation across teams, manage vendor relationships and provide support for issues resolution and risk management during execution
- Conduct performance reviews for delivery managers, architects, and team leads, ensuring proper training and enablement to build team competency

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Banking, and Finance, Accounting or any related field
- 20+ years of experience in IT systems within banking or financial services, with a strong focus on loan functions/transactions
- In-depth understanding of loans functions/transactions (e.g, loan origination, servicing, collections, etc) from an IT perspective
- Experience in delivering large scale core banking systems for secured and unsecured loans for retail/commercial banking
- Experience in Philippines market with loans system implementations
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software
