Job Description

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Loan Opener to join their growing team. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in loan opening and/or loan processing, with a proven track record of creative problem-solving, excellent multitasking and prioritization, and a focus on customer relationships. He/she is self-driven, tech-savvy, energetic, and easily adaptable to change. He/she must be proactive and organized and can pitch in to help team members when needed. Someone new to the mortgage industry or with experience as a Loan Operator assistant or processor may be considered.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (12:00 AM 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Open and set up loan files for 30-year DSCR loans for investors, which will involve working collaboratively with mortgage brokers, third-party service providers, internal business partners, and other staffers
  • Set up loan files in the loan origination system (LOS) for Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loan products
  • Input borrower, property, and loan details with precision to ensure data integrity
  • Identify broker-provided documentation and rename it to the correct naming convention
  • Compare submitted documents against the required document checklist to identify and request missing or incomplete items
  • Communicate with loan officers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and obtain additional documentation as needed
  • Order third-party reports such as credit reports, background reports, and flood certificates
  • Assist processors and underwriters by providing accurate and timely loan file preparation
  • Interface directly with clients in a friendly and professional manner

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
  • Experience in loan opening and/or loan processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy/attention to detail, immaculately organized
  • Ability to work well in a consistently fast-paced environment
  • Ability to react quickly to changing needs of clients and underwriting changes
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional ability to work on multiple priorities
  • Energetic self-starter, reliable, punctual, and willing to help other team members
  • Solution-oriented and nimble thinker
