YOUR ROLE
The primary purpose of the Senior Linux Engineer role is to lead the design and implementation of Linux deployment automation strategies, utilizing expertise in Ansible, CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on creating efficient and streamlined processes for deploying Linux systems within the company's IT infrastructure and cloud hyperscalers (AWS/GCP), optimizing productivity and scalability.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
- Design and maintain the linux automation engine responsible for the deployment of all VMs and Cloud VMs.
- Collaborate with application teams to come up with linux OS standards and templates for their apps.
- Ensure that solutions are scalable, highly available, and secure.
- Understand and implement best practices for infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues during implementation phase in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in infrastructure design and management.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferably with Master's degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in Linux technologies and deployments.
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
- 5+ years experience in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure architectures.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Strong knowledge of Ansible, Git, Terraform and AWX.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RH/SUSE) with certifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure and with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

- Ability to manage stress well under difficult situations and when dealing with production issues and project deadlines.
