Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Line Maintenance Engineer has direct authority of enforcing the maintenance functions assigned to them in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and current regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out all maintenance requirements, including line station checks, deferred rectification, and scheduled maintenance checks as per maintenance standards and practices.
  • Perform line checks and inspections in accordance with customer's current instructions and approved maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Perform fueling of the aircraft in accordance with the approved maintenance manual procedures.
  • Perform daily routine checks and inspections after termination of all flights and pre-flight inspections immediately before aircraft departure. Perform Aircraft Departure/Arrival handling.
  • Perform inspections in accordance with the aircraft maintenance manual procedures as a result of lightning strikes, hard landings, etc.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness in the workplace and recommend to immediate superiors any information that will ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Familiarization with all Aircraft Technical Publications.
  • Enter in the aircraft logbook and sign off the performance of line checks, inspections, and any other actions taken on reported discrepancies.
  • Rectify defects entered in the aircraft logbooks as reported by the flight crew or revealed during ground inspections. If rectification is not possible, defer the action in accordance with the customer's aircraft MEL procedures and restrictions.

  • Perform other related duties that superiors may assign.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Must have completed an associate or bachelor's degree in aviation-related courses.
  • Preferably holds a CAAP Avionics license

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • In-House Requirements: Must have successfully completed a minimum of 1 year in the Mechanic C role and satisfied all the training and authorization requirements stated in the Aircraft Mechanic Competency Checklist APPCDGM028.
  • Direct Hire Requirements: Must have at least 5 years of aviation maintenance experience with at least 1 aircraft type rating being serviced by A+.
  • Familiarity with customer aircraft systems, AMOS, or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of aviation and/or civil aviation authority regulations and standards.
  • Adequate knowledge in quality management, safety management, and security management systems.

  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and major maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in managing complex maintenance tasks and mentoring junior personnel.
  • Effective leadership and decision-making skills in a maintenance environment.
  • Commitment to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
