Originally a fintech spin-off from Series C-funded B2B platform GrowSari, SariPay now stands independently (Saripay has its own financing and fintech companies regulated by SEC and BSP), delivering digital lending, payments, and embedded finance solutions to over 300,000 sari-sari stores and micro-entrepreneurs in the Philippines. The fintech business is growing 1.7x year on year and is profitable.

While Saripay serves multiple partners with lending and payment products, we have one very critical partner that delivers a significant part of our lending balance sheet and profitability. The Lending Portfolio Manager will own the end to end growth and P&L of this partner for lending products.

The Role

The Lending Portfolio Manager drives the penetration and growth of unsecured lending products including short term inventory loans, short term cash loans, and other short-term credit facilities (loans for telco/bills pay facilities) across an existing customer base. This role owns the end-to-end cross-sell strategy, from segmentation and campaign design through to conversion tracking and portfolio performance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, risk management skills (credit enablement, line increases are key tools, overall exposure) with commercial acumen to identify the right offer for the right customer at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Growth & Cross-Sell Execution

  • Own penetration targets for unsecured inventory loans, cash loans, and short-term credit across the existing SME customer base.
  • Design and execute cross-sell campaigns by customer segment, leveraging behavioural, transactional, and credit data to build targeted offers.
  • Work closely with the platform team to design the best customer experience in the partner app with a goal of increasing product take-up, digital payments, digital collections of those lending products. .
  • Work closely with the credit team to drive credit eligibility, line increases, total exposure across products.
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign cycle from brief and audience selection through to channel deployment, follow-up, and conversion tracking.

Portfolio Analytics & Performance Management

  • Monitor portfolio KPIs including activation rate, utilisation, delinquency, and revenue contribution per product.
  • Conduct customer lifecycle analysis to identify upsell windows, lapse risks, and refinancing opportunities within the loan book.
  • Understand concepts of total exposure, credit policy, risk management, pricing as tools to track and work with.
  • Strong skills on A/B testing on pricing, tenor, and other credit tools to drive response and profitability.

Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Credit Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure cross-sell propositions are commercially viable and policy-compliant.
  • Provide customer and market insights to inform product development, pricing adjustments, and promotional mechanics for short-term lending products.
  • Liaise with the Credit and Collections teams to ensure cross-sell activity targets customers within appropriate risk appetite.

Ideal Background

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial services, with at least 3-4 years working on portfolio management of lending products.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a lending product as portfolio manager using credit tools (credit scoring, line management, line increases etc.) as a way to x-sell loans. .
  • Good understanding of driving X-sell using risk adjusted return methodology, credit line management as a tool for growth.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe Campaign) for loan product campaigns.
  • Exposure to digital lending channels (app-based or web-based loan origination) and familiarity with funnel optimisation metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
