Legal Counsel Boutique Real Estate Firm

Key Responsibilities

Provides legal support and advice to upper management on relevant legal issues involving the management of the firm, from risks in project inception to customer concerns and refunds.
Ensures compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and applicable laws, including the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Data Privacy Act, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development regulations.
Conducts due diligence on new projects and advises management on associated risks.
Assesses and calculates risks in business processes and decision-making.
Executes procedures for protecting the companys trademarks, including registration.
Handles litigation matters, including drafting and filing pleadings and entering appearances.
Coordinates with and serves as primary liaison to all external counsel retained by the company.
Monitors changes in relevant laws and contributes to enhancing the companys legal knowledge base.
Oversees and manages the Legal Team.
Handles corporate housekeeping for 11 companies and 1 foundation, ensuring compliance with SEC reportorial regulations.
Provides legal support for special projects as required by the company.
Acts as Secretariat for the Companys Management Committee.
