The Role:

We are looking for a Legal Associate to support IDR's growing operations. The ideal candidate will have 24 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, contracts, and regulatory compliance, ideally within the professional services, market research, or technology sectors.

You will work closely with IDR's global legal team to review, draft, and manage contracts, ensure compliance with local and international laws (including data privacy and labor regulations), and help strengthen the company's legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Review and Management

  • Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor contracts, client MSAs, and independent contractor agreements.
  • Maintain a contracts tracker and ensure proper record keeping and version control.

Legal Research and Advisory Support

  • Conduct legal research on corporate, labor, tax, and data privacy matters relevant to IDR's operations.
  • Provide preliminary legal opinions or memos to internal stakeholders under supervision of senior counsel.

Regulatory and Corporate Governance

  • Ensure the company's compliance with local employment and corporate laws (e.g., DOLE, SEC, BIR, PEZA).
  • Prepare and maintain corporate records, filings, and compliance certificates.
  • Assist in board resolutions, business registration renewals, and liaison with government agencies as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure all activities are legally sound.
  • Provide training and awareness on legal and compliance topics to internal stakeholders.

Qualification and Skills:

Education:Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Risk Management, or a related field. Must be a member of the Philippine Bar in good standing

Experience:

  • 24 years of post-bar experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory practice (law firm or in-house).
  • Experience in contracts, data privacy, or regulatory compliance preferred.

Knowledge& Skills:

  • Strong grasp of Philippine corporate and labor laws; exposure to international frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What Do We Offer

Work Location:Remote or hybrid, depending on business needs.

Working Hours:3 pm to 12 am (Philippine Time)

Job Type:Full-time

Office Location:Unit 901, 9th floor, Eco Tower, 32nd St. cor, 9th Ave, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines.

Salary Range:Competitive, based on experience
