Job Summary:
The Paralegal will support the Legal Department by drafting correspondences, conducting preliminary research, and assisting with contract preparation, review, and documentation. They will aid in litigation efforts by coordinating with witnesses, preparing legal pleadings, and tracking case statuses. Additionally, the role involves providing assistance with project and contract management issues, as well as supporting data privacy compliance efforts in collaboration with the Data Privacy Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft simple correspondences such as transmittal letters, affidavits, and other similar documents;
- Handle preliminary research and initial study of various matters and concerns raised to the Legal Department;
- Assist the Legal Manager in the preparation, finalization, or collation of pleadings, annexes, and attachments to affidavits, position papers, memorandum, and other pleadings;
- Assist the Legal Manager in the coordination with the witnesses and authorized officers for the preparation of judicial affidavits, affidavits, and other necessary documentation relating to the cases handled by the Legal Team;
- Provide assistance to the company's Project/Contract Management teams in dealing with the various legal and contractual issues with the contractors and suppliers;
- Assist the Data Privacy Officer in the preparation of the necessary documentation, submissions with the NPC, and implementation of the security measures of the Company;
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Legal Management, Political Science / Juris Doctor.
- With at least 2-3 years of work paralegal experience specializing in Labor Law, Contracts Claims, and Legal Services.
- Willing to be assigned in Pasig City (Head Office).
