Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant to support U.S.-based law firms with case management, document preparation, client communication, and legal administrative tasks.
This role is for English-only candidates based in the Philippines. The ideal candidate has prior legal assistant or law firm support experience, strong written and verbal English communication skills, and the ability to manage case files, deadlines, documents, and client communication in a remote setup.
Key Responsibilities
• Support attorneys and legal teams with daily legal administrative tasks
• Manage and organize case files, records, and supporting documents
• Track deadlines, court dates, appointments, and case-related tasks
• Assist with drafting, preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, courts, providers, opposing counsel, and internal team members as needed
• Maintain accurate case notes, records, and task updates in the firm's systems
• Assist with records requests, document review, filing support, and case preparation
• Follow up on pending items to help keep cases moving efficiently
• Enter and update information in case management systems or client files
• Handle confidential client and case information with professionalism and discretion
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Prior legal assistant, legal administrative assistant, or law firm support experience
• Experience supporting legal tasks in any practice area, such as personal injury, immigration, criminal defense, family law, employment law, civil litigation, estate planning, or general legal administration
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience handling legal documents, case records, deadlines, and client communication
• Experience with case management systems, CRMs, document management tools, or similar legal/admin platforms is a plus
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple deadlines, tasks, and case-related priorities
• Reliable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning legal systems and administrative tools
• Able to work independently in a remote setup
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits
• Full-time remote opportunity
• Schedule will depend on client needs and will usually fall within U.S. time zones
• Starts at $5 USD/hour, with a possibility of a pay increase from a performance evaluation
• Must have a reliable device, stable internet connection, and quiet remote work setup.
