Job Summary:
Primarily responsible for effectively providing support in the functions of Company's Legal and Compliance Office. He/She will also be responsible in maintaining the privileged and/or confidential nature of work assigned to him/her or which passes through him/her.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Services - coordinate, monitor, facilitate collation, summarization, review of requirements for pending or to be filed cases with court or administrative body.
- Compliance - assist in the effective implementation of compliance programs of the company such as review, and monitoring of regulatory checklist and certifications submitted by various business units. Prepares, review and/or submits regulatory reports to Insurance Commission, Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Credit Information Corporation (CIC) and other government agencies/institutions. Handles and/or assists in the creation and/or updating of manuals, policies, and procedures to incorporate regulatory changes. Assists in the periodic research for relevant regulations and highlights salient points, as applicable. Conducts initial review of cases and/or complaints endorsed by the Insurance Commission (IC) and handles coordination with the concerned business units as well as preparation of reply letters.
- Corporate Secretariat - handles end-to-end preparation for board and committee meetings. Drafts minutes of meetings, memorandum and board resolutions. Facilitates distribution of communication to the Board and Committee Members.
- Corporate Governance - handles preparation and submission of all compliance and reporting requirements under Corporate Governance such as Annual Report and Annual Corporate Governance Report.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of any course
- With at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Background in the basic insurance principles and compliance functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be keen to details and can work in a fast-paced environment
- With good verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati
