Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employees skills, performance, and professional growth. This role supports organizational goals by promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify training and development needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultations with managers
- Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and learning materials (both in-person and virtual)
- Facilitate onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with business objectives
- Develop and maintain learning resources, including e-learning modules and training manuals
- Monitor employee progress and provide coaching or support as needed
- Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and track training completion and compliance
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Learning & Development Specialist or in a similar role
Core Competencies:
- AI-first mindset with the ability to leverage technology in learning design and delivery
- Strong learner engagement and facilitation skills
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE)
- Knowledge of learning frameworks such as Bloom's Taxonomy
- Experience in developing modules and learning materials
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience in e-course development and digital learning solutions
- Skilled in using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Canva, PowerPoint, Powtoon)
- Basic to advanced video creation and editing skills
Evaluation & Assessment:
- Experience in training evaluation using Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation
