Job Summary:
The Facilities Multiskilled Technician Lead oversees the day-to-day operations of the facilities maintenance team within a BPO environment. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all building systemsincluding electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systemsare maintained to support 24/7 business operations. The Lead Technician also coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervises technicians, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and supervise a team of multiskilled technicians across shifts.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalated technical issues and emergencies.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for specialized services and projects.
Technical Operations
- Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple disciplines.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and incident reports.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Support emergency preparedness and participate in safety drills.
- Monitor and maintain fire detection and suppression systems, including smoke detectors and emergency lighting.
Project Support
- Assist in planning and execution of facility upgrades, renovations, and relocations.
- Provide technical input during procurement and installation of new equipment.
Qualifications:
- Technical/Vocational diploma or certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related field.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 12 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using Building Management Systems (BMS) and maintenance software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on a shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- TESDA NC II or equivalent in Electrical or HVAC
Preferred Certifications:
- Safety Officer (SO1/SO2) certification
- First Aid and Fire Safety Training
