JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Engineer / Lead Engineer Electrical provides technical leadership and oversight of electrical systemsincluding plant design, transmission lines, and switchyardsacross AEDC projects. The role ensures compliance with international and Philippine codes and standards, NGCP/utility practices, and good engineering principles from concept through commissioning.
The position supports Project Managers, Business Development Managers, and Owner's Engineers (OEs) by ensuring electrical systems are well-integrated with other disciplines, constructible, compliant, and cost-effective.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide electrical engineering expertise in plant, transmission, and switchyard systems from feasibility through commissioning.
- Lead or support feasibility studies, TOR drafting, bidding/tender processes, and provide technical inputs to EPC negotiations.
- Review and validate designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with codes, NGCP standards, and industry practices (including common PH vendors/brands).
- Monitor and assess performance of Owner's Engineers and contractors, providing recommendations to management.
- Support Project Managers in monitoring electrical construction works and ensuring timely execution. Provide technical inputs to catch-up plans, testing, commissioning, FAT, SAT, compliance testing, punch listing and punch closeout. Contribute to delay assessments and, when required, provide technical inputs to support project costing and claims management.
- Coordinate with NGCP, Distribution Utilities, ROW, and interconnection teams to resolve technical requirements and enable timely execution.
- Provide guidance and training for site engineers, promote standardization of electrical practices, and document lessons learned.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, conflict-free execution.
- Demonstrate adaptability, communication, and conflict-resolution skills across multi-project assignments.
- Travel to project sites as required for due diligence, monitoring, and commissioning.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by his/her superior.
QUALIFICATION GUIDE:
EDUCATION : Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
LICENSURE : Licensed Engineer.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in power plant, transmission, or industrial project development, construction, or operations
- Involvement in plant, TL, and switchyard projects from concept to commissioning preferred
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of international and Philippine electrical codes, NGCP standards, and utility practices
- Familiarity with common installations, vendors, and brands in PH projects
- Experience in feasibility/TOR preparation, design review, construction, and commissioning
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
- Effective communicator and cross-disciplinary collaborator
- Effective written communication skills, with the ability to leverage AI (e.g., GPT-based tools) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality in the performance of engineering and project management tasks.
- Leadership qualities with ability to manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects
- Proficient in MS Office and digital project tools
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites
