Role

You will be responsible for assessing the credit worthiness of current and prospective customers by gathering and analyzing data from internal and external sources including Credit Bureaus, Bank References and Financial Statements. With the authority delegated by the Credit Team Leader, you will be empowered to make credit-granting decisions while ensuring the maintenance of accurate and timely information to meet Credit Management requirements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day credit risk decisions for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with accounts receivable internal controls.
  • Responsible for Risk Management decisions within set competency
  • Ensure monthly credit KPI's are achieved Analyze and address Credit Limit Excess
  • Coordinate communication with Sales, Controlling team and Finance Management
  • Conduct calls with customers to review Financial Statements
  • Conduct credit review calls with AR Insurer
  • Provide Customer Service Excellence to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate business records and sound bookkeeping procedures are maintained.
  • Maintain and encourage enthusiasm, energy, inspiration and expertise within the team.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the company.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of work processes and service level agreements.
  • Contributes to the improvement of credit policies and procedures.
  • Identifies differences in established processes across various Kuehne + Nagel entities and recognizes best practices.
  • Implements standardized processes and best practices across the entire region.
  • Understands the impact of credit on profitability and cash flow.
  • Capable of presenting business cases to National Finance Managers for situations involving above-average credit risk.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of Kuehne + Nagel's operations and makes good decisions based on that knowledge.

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ Years of credit risk qualification experience including financial statement analysis
  • Strong Financial Statement Analysis skills
  • General analytical skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and a team player.
  • Self-motivated and ability to think in different ways about a single challenge.
  • Ability to follow through on all required tasks and within the prescribed deadlines.
  • Excellent communications skills in English both written and oral.
  • Additional knowledge of languages is a Plus.
