Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Junior Software Engineer to join our growing development team. This is an entry-level role designed for a fresh graduate who is eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world software solutions.
As a junior member of the team, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of our software applications. You will work closely with senior engineers to write clean code, troubleshoot issues, and learn the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Code Development: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior developers.
- Testing & Debugging: Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing software bugs to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for software functionality and data structures.
- Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Integration: Work with XML for data exchange and configuration, ensuring seamless integration between different system components.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to improve our existing systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (Recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in Python (knowledge of libraries/frameworks like Django or Flask is a plus).
- Data Formats: Familiarity with XML markup and an understanding of how data is structured and parsed.
- Core Fundamentals: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive can-do attitude, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Previous internship experience or a portfolio of personal coding projects.
