Junior Internal Auditor

Job Summary

The Internal Audit Specialist supports the Internal Audit team in executing audit engagements, performing testing procedures, analyzing data, and documenting audit results. This role assists in evaluating internal controls, identifying risk areas, and recommending process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audit testing procedures in accordance with approved audit programs
• Conduct interviews and walkthroughs to understand business processes and internal controls
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk areas
• Prepare and maintain complete and accurate audit working papers
• Assist in analyzing control gaps and operational risks
• Provide practical recommendations to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
• Support the preparation of audit findings and reports
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify audit observations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related course
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in internal audit, accounting, or risk advisory
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of accounting principles and internal control concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
• CPA or CIA certification (or pursuing) is an advantage
