GECO Asia is looking for a passionate and driven Junior Full-Stack Developer to join our growing technology team! If you're an earlycareer engineer eager to sharpen your skills, work with modern tech stacks, and grow into a wellrounded fullstack developer, this opportunity is for you.
Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development- Build and maintain React/TypeScript components based on design and technical requirements.
- Fix UI bugs, improve component behavior, and ensure consistent user experiences.
- Implement responsive layouts using Tailwind CSS or styled-components.
- Integrate components with REST APIs and manage loading/error states.
- Write unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
Backend Development (Growth Area)- Develop simple NestJS endpoints (controllers, services, DTOs).
- Write and modify database queries in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Contribute to Python scripts for automation and data processing.
- Maintain API documentation and learn backend best practices.
Learning & Growth- Participate actively in code reviews and apply feedback.
- Use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to boost productivity.
- Join knowledgesharing sessions and continuously learn the tech stack.
- Maintain clean Git practices and participate in agile ceremonies.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 12 years of React/TypeScript experience (internship + professional).
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (ES6+, async/await).
- Basic backend understandingcan read and edit Node.js/NestJS code.
- Python scripting basics.
- SQL fundamentals (SELECT, JOIN, INSERT, UPDATE).
- Git proficiency (branching, PRs, conflict resolution).
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants.
- Proactive, curious, and receptive to feedback.
- Good English communication skills.
Nice to Have- Exposure to React Native or mobile development.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Personal projects or open-source contributions.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent training.
