Job Qualification

- Licensed Agriculturist is a plus
- Experienced in farming, crop production, or agricultural research.
- Basic knowledge of plant care, soil health, and irrigation methods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new farming techniques.
- Good teamwork, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions.
The Junior Farm Technician is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of plant productions, ensuring the proper care and maintenance of crops, seedlings, and equipment. They will work closely with the team to implement best agricultural practices, conduct field monitoring, and support research and development efforts.
Job Description
- Assist in land preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting of crops.
- Conduct routine monitoring of plant health, pest infestations, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Implement proper crop management techniques including pruning, staking, and pest control application.
- Maintain tools, equipment, machinery, and irrigation system if any.
- Support the installation and maintenance of farm structures such as trellises, net houses, and shade systems.
- Record observations on crop growth, soil conditions, and environmental factors.
- Assist in data collection for trials and development projects.
- Report any anomalies, plant diseases, or operational concerns to the Senior Technician, and Head of the Department.
- Participate in training sessions and hands-on learning experiences on modern farming techniques.
- Stay updated on best agricultural practices and technologies to improve farm productivity.
- Assist in educating farm workers and trainees on basic agricultural protocol.
