Role Description
As a Junior Data Developer, you will work closely with our team to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions. This role blends elements of data engineering, dataanalysis, and machine learning development, making it ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow into roles such as Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or AI Engineer. You will work on real-world datasets, modern analytics tools, data pipelines, automation systems, and machine learning workflows used across the company.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior data scientists and developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions.
- Assist in the data collection, pre-processing, and analysis process, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to extract valuable insights and solve business problems.
- Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and data visualization to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and domain experts, to identify and understand data requirements.
- Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and software development techniques.
- Assist in the testing, debugging, and optimization of data-driven applications and algorithms. Document code, methodologies, and results to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience using Python for development or data work
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Familiarity with data manipulation, cleaning, and pre-processing techniques.
- Basic understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
- Experience with data querying and manipulation using SQL or similar languages.
- Knowledge of common data science libraries and frameworks, such as NumPy, Pandas, scikitlearn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development environments. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
