Role Description The Junior Associate will support the firm's legal practice through research, drafting, and case management activities in a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. Day-to-day tasks include conducting legal and regulatory research, preparing and reviewing contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents, and assisting in due diligence and transactional work. The Junior Associate will coordinate with senior lawyers on case strategy, attend meetings, hearings, and client conferences when required, and help manage case files and documentation. The role also involves communicating with clients under supervision, monitoring deadlines and court schedules, and contributing to the firm's mission of providing high-quality legal and business services.

Qualifications

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, opinions, and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and Filipino.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage professionally with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Graduate of a recognized law school; completion of the Philippine Bar Examinations and admission to the Bar is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate, commercial, and business law matters is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using standard office software and legal research tools; openness to learning new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical legal practice.
