Work Setup: Onsite in General Santos
Budget: 30-35,000 PHP
We are looking for aJunior Accountantto join our team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. CPA license is preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to undergo training and work onsite in General Santos City.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Billing & Receivables
- Support client billing processes and invoice tracking
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments and maintain accurate client account records
Payables & Expense Management
- Process vendor invoices and payments
- Maintain vendor records and documentation
- Assist with expense tracking and cost allocation
Trust Accounting (If Applicable)
- Maintain and reconcile client trust accounts in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Perform three-way reconciliation of trust funds (for law firms)
- Track disbursements and balances
- Prepare trust reports and supporting documentation
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Support audit preparation and documentation requests
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies
Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls
- Assist with accounting system maintenance and ensure data integrity
Qualifications
- CPA (Preferred)
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience in end-to-end bookkeeping is an advantage
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with QuickBooks (recording transactions, reconciliation, and financial reporting)
