The Junior Art Director plays a key role within the AIRR Production Team (content and livestream), supporting the end-to-end development of TikTok / Meta-first content (short videos) for beauty and lifestyle brands. This role is designed for an individual who already has a proven track record in TikTok and/or Meta content (short video) development, production management, and execution.
The ideal candidate must have deep understanding of social platform best practices, visual styling, messaging strategy, trend spotting, and hands-on experience in production managementfrom writing scripts to leading shoots. This person will also be responsible for mentoring junior creators (Copywriters, Content Designers, and Multimedia Designers / Editors) in content (short video) development, creating content iterations, use of tools, and production management, working closely with the Production Manager and ensuring timely turnaround of his/her team's timelines. He/She will serve as a key creative partner to the Studios Lead, Business Development Manager, and Livestream and Content Production Team.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret content reports, platform performance reports, and trend reports, translating them into actionable and timefeasible content plans tailored for TikTok and/or Meta, aligned with the brands objectives.
- Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions with Copywriters, Multimedia Designers (Editors), and other creative leads (Junior Art Director and/or Studios Lead) by translating content reports, platform performance reports, and trend reports.
- Develop ideas for content executions and iterations high volume content production.
- Develop visual treatments, shot lists, and scripts or storyboards for TikTok and/or Meta content executions.
- Develop and manage his/her team's shot lists by reviewing scripts, overseeing visual treatments (for both shoot and edit), and coordinating with the Production Manager to ensure feasibility and timelines.
- Ensure talent directing, storytelling, and visual elements reflect both brand identity and platform best practices.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of AI tools relevant to content creation, such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Freepik AI Suite, and other script, image, or image-to-video generators.
- Crafts effective prompts to generate creative outputswhether for content ideation, visual references, or to accelerate design and production workflows.
- Maintain high standards in stylingspecifically in hair, outfit coordination, and simple but thoughtful production design.
- Make creative decisions that enhance the authenticity, aspirational look and feel of beauty-focused content.
- Help upskill junior creators (Copywriters, Content Designers, and Multimedia Designers / Editors) and uphold standards of quality across all content produced.
- Support the Studios Lead and Production Manager in creative decision-making and content planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to ensure production timelines are being met by their content team.
- Take ownership of projects or content series and lead independently when needed.
Requirements:
- 24 years of relevant experience in content creation, art direction, or social-first production
- Proven experience developing content for TikTok, ideally within the beauty or lifestyle category
- Strong visual sensibility with demonstrated knowledge of stylingspecifically in hair, outfit coordination, simple but intentional production design, and understanding of sequencing and timing in editing.
- Proficiency with basic lighting and camera equipment, and familiarity with mobile production workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring junior team members or collaborating across creative roles.
- Adaptable to various brand identities and visual treatments, with the agility to shift between styles, tones, and creative requirements based on project needs.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail.
