Axos is creating the most advanced platform at the intersection of Trading, Banking, Investing. In this role you'll be working with partners in Engineering, QA, Architecture, Operations, and Product Management to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products and features across our systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and other developers on specifications, designs, standards, code reviews, and test capabilities, and deployment decisions
- Lead a team of developers through meaningful engagements, mentoring, and a community driven attitude.
- Demonstrate leadership with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Partner with Product, Project, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to release high-quality software and ensure its reliable operation in production
- Work collaboratively with team members and project stakeholders to create realistic and reliable estimates for work
- Participate and research production issues when needed
- Contribute to our knowledge base by documenting your work
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent experience
- 4+ years hands-on experience working with modern programming languages (Java, Go, .Net, Javascript, Python, etc.)
- Must have experience with at least one strongly typed language and at least one scripting language.
- Experience with Architecture design using Enterprise Integration Patterns/.MERN/MVC
- Rest APIs and JSON
- Messaging systems: 0MQ, RabbitMQ, Apache Artemis/Classic, Kafka
- Leadership positions/roles on teams/projects
- Project planning and estimation of tasks
- Strong SQL Database experience including designing table schemas
- Knowledge of build automation tools and pipelines Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, etc.
- May occasionally work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary to support business needs
Preferred:
- Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST, JSF, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Java, Solana, T-SQL, Go, C#
- Apache Camel
- JEE, JPA/Hibernate, and T-SQL in production applications
- Git and Gradle/Maven
- Waterfall & Agile development methodologies
- Previous financial services industry experience
- Previous Cryptocurrency experience
- Containerization Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience with asynchronous programming paradigms
