Job Summary
Under the supervision of the IT Infra Unit Head, the IT Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support and delivery of maximum uptime and performance of all hardware and business applications.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage all procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user problems, issues, and requests.
- Ensure the continuous operation of the systems supported by the Data Center.
- Review batch reports and MIS to ensure full cycle and completeness of the End of the Day (EOD) Batch.
- supervise and assist in helpdesk functions.
- Design, implement and maintain disaster recovery processes and continuity of business (COB) procedures for re-establishing servers, databases, operating systems and business applications in the event of a disruption, both minor and catastrophic.
- Ensure complete cycles of back-up as designed for recovery and future references and maintenance and safekeeping of data back-up to the COB site.
- Investigate and analyze hardware and software irregularities before escalation to vendors and service providers.
- Oversee version upgrade and system enhancements and enforce change management procedures.
- Diagnose, repair and/or recommend actions for hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and IT supplies.
- Maintain and monitor security solutions: anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam, intrusion detection, and prevention.
- Ensure the stability and integrity of internal voice, data, video, wireless, and virtual network infrastructure.
- Monitor, maintain, and perform tuning of production databases ensuring high levels of data availability.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree in IT-related course (such as: Computer Science / Engineering)

- Knowledge in all aspects of data center operations
- Experienced in implementing and support of business applications
- Knowledgeable in change management
- Knowledge of data center, network, and telecommunication operations
