We are seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to manage our Philippines office's IT infrastructure and provide technical support. You will be the key liaison between the local business team and the headquarters technical team, ensuring seamless operations in the mobile phone installment business
Key Responsibilities:
Office Network & Infrastructure:
Maintain and troubleshoot the local office network, including routers, firewalls, and VPN connections to ensure stable and low-latency connectivity with the headquarters (e.g., China/Singapore)
Manage LAN/Wi-Fi and resolve local internet service issues; develop contingency plans for power outages or network fluctuations common in the Philippines
Local Business System Support:
Act as the primary IT contact for the Philippines office, supporting the business team in using core installment systems (ordering, approval, disbursement)
Provide hardware and software installation and troubleshooting for office endpoints (Windows/Mac laptops, printers, video conferencing systems)
Support the stability of POS terminals or sales apps used in local partner stores (if applicable)
Data Security & Local Compliance:
Ensure local operations comply with the Philippines Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) regarding the secure storage and access control of user data
Manage user accounts and permissions (Office 365, Google Workspace, business systems) and handle IT asset retrieval for offboarding employees
Asset Management & Vendor Coordination:
Manage IT asset procurement, inventory, and maintenance for the Philippines office, coordinating with local IT equipment suppliers
Liaise with local telecom providers (Globe, Smart, PLDT) for corporate lines, SIM cards, and mobile router services
Emergency Response:
Provide remote IT assistance to work-from-home employees or provincial partner stores
Respond quickly to system failures or payment interruptions, collaborating with the HQ technical team for resolution
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 2 years of IT support experience. Experience in Fintech, E-commerce, BPO, or Chinese-invested companies is a strong plus
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN); ability to configure SOHO routers and firewalls
Familiarity with Windows Server or basic Linux commands; experience with virtualization (VMware) or cloud desktops is a plus
Basic SQL query skills for data troubleshooting
Experience with Active Directory or Google Workspace Admin Console
Language Skills:
English: Fluent in both written and spoken English (mandatory) for communication with HQ and local team
Tagalog: Native or near-native proficiency to effectively communicate with local staff and vendors
(Bonus) Basic Mandarin Chinese listening skills to facilitate communication with Chinese development teams
Other Requirements:
Must be a Philippine citizen or hold a valid local work visa
Strong sense of responsibility, service-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Willingness to accommodate occasional cross-timezone meetings (e.g., coordinating with China HQ)
