Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff, researching and implementing technological strategic solutions; responsible for managing cross-functional teams; ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget; meeting high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage from an IT perspective the four key elements of a project: resources, time, money, and scope
- Develop project proposals that cover the origin of project, implementation of timelines, identification of risks, contingency plans and other projects impacted within the scope of IT
- Ensure management is aware of the implications of starting a new project and how it impacts the timelines of all other activities currently in progress
- Ensure that the quantity of active projects does not exceed staff capacity, and that on-going projects are adequately staffed
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems
- Coordinate with the other IT group leaders to ensure that backup resources are effectively utilized in a cross group manner
- Coordinate all current active projects by identifying and scheduling project deliverables; monitor the progress, critical paths, milestones, and available resources
- Research and be highly skilled and knowledgeable in project management procedures, methodologies, and standards
- Apply and execute those methodologies in IT projects and tasks
- Ensure that all IT projects are being accomplished efficiently and as planned
- Effectively lead IT people to ensure the success of the project
- Extensively monitor the status of IT projects and report findings to the IT Head of Projects
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time, including involvement in client-facing responsibilities, providing technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring that frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) and requirements are met, and direct interaction with clients, such as managing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and participating in client meetings.
Technical Documentation Writing and Review
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of IT systems, policies, and procedures
- Be aware of ISO standards for IT and ensure that all IT documentation is compliant to those standards
- Document quality assurance test plans, direct quality assurance testing, technical scope and objectives of projects
- Conduct reviews at the end of major projects with the project staff
Qualifications
- With at least 1 year experience in Project Management
- Preferably Supervisor or 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
- Technical knowledge in hardware, software, network, infrastructure, security/controls is required
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
