Is this your next challenge as IT Procurement Manager Infrastructure & Network
Own and lead the Infrastructure & Network categories end-to-end across multiple markets. You will set category strategy, run complex sourcing, influence senior technology stakeholders, negotiate high-impact contracts, and deliver measurable value (savings, risk reduction, service outcomes). This is a senior, high-autonomy role requiring strategic judgment, disciplined execution, and diplomatic assertiveness.
The challenge is to:
- Category Ownership: Build and execute a multi year category strategy (supplier rationalization, value creation, TCO optimization) across telco, connectivity, network equipment, and data centers.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead RFI/RFP/e-auctions, vendor research, structured evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendationspreserving competitive tension to signature.
- Stakeholder Influence: Partner with Technology, Info Security, Legal, and Finance across markets; challenge assumptions with data and market insight; align on scope, approach, and decision criteria.
- Execution Excellence: Run simultaneous, complex projects with clear plans, milestones, risks, and written status updates; ensure continuity on inherited contracts/projects.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Shape OEM/distributor/partner strategies; negotiate SLAs, warranties, exit/liability terms; implement performance and governance rhythms.
- Governance & Compliance: Adhere to thresholds, approvals, conflicts, and documentation standards (incl. spend approvals, recommendation papers, savings declarations, system entries).
- Analytics & Value Delivery: Establish baselines, model scenarios, build business cases, and track realized benefits in the procurement system with auditable methodology.
Do you have experience in
Required Skills
- 812 years in IT procurement with progression into strategic sourcing/category management.
- Deep experience in Infrastructure & Network (telco, connectivity, network gear, data center).
- Multi market delivery across diverse regulatory and cultural contexts.
- Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to present independent, data-backed views.
- Proven project management across concurrent, complex initiatives.
- Advanced analytics (TCO, baselining, business case, scenario modeling; advanced Excel).
- Excellent written & verbal English; clear documentation and executive updates.
- Ownership mindset: proactive, accountable, solution-oriented.
Nice to Have
- 10+ years in multi-market or retail environments; large-scale infra transformations.
- Degree in Business/Supply/Purchasing (or equivalent experience); CIPS/ISM certification.
- Direct spend exposure; GEP/Ariba/Coupa proficiency.
- Technical fluency in network/telecom fundamentals to engage credibly with engineers.
- Change management / process improvement experience.
