As anIT Presales Engineer, you will play a key role in the IT solution lifecycle, ensuring that infrastructure solutions are designed, analyzed, and validated to meet business requirements, technical standards, and performance expectations.
Your contributions will ensure the reliability and security of the technologies that help protect livesadvancing our shared goal of a safer world.
THE ROLE
- You will work closely with Engineering, Technology SubjectMatter Experts and Sales to analyze customer requirements and define standardized IT infrastructure solutions across the full solution lifecycle.
- This role requires a strong interest in enterprise infrastructure technologies, standards compliance, and lifecycle management, combined with attention to detail to ensure solution quality, security, and performance.
MAIN TASKS
- Perform requirements engineering, qualification and factory testing in collaboration with Technology Subject Matter Experts, ensuring project requirements traceability, standards compliance, and technical readiness of infrastructure solutions prior to delivery.
- Gather, analyze, and document customer requirements, translating them into standardized IT infrastructure solutions that comply with approved architectural, security, and operational IT standards.
- Collaborate with Procurement to maintain accurate technical documentation, enforce IT standards, and streamline procurementrelated workflows and processes.
- Support obsolescence and lifecycle management of thirdparty IT hardware and software components used in Frequentis products and projects, including assessment of risks, replacements, and requalification needs.
- Creation and maintenance of:
-- Solution Templates and IT blueprints (internal reference documents)
-- IT standard catalogues & project-specific hardware configurations
-- Identify all security-related vulnerabilities and their appropriate mitigation measures for proposed third party software and tools
KNOW-HOW AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong proficiency in IT infrastructure solutions, including:
- Enterprise hardware and software (servers & Linux operating systems)
- Network and security equipment (routers, switches and firewalls)
- Public cloud service providers (Azure, AWS)
- Strong interest in presales, or technical consulting is an advantage
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Background in Requirements Engineering is an advantage
- Familiarity with IT Tools such as JIRA and JAMA is an advantage
