Key Responsibilities:
The Airport IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of information technology (IT) systems, infrastructure, and services within the airport environment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of the aviation industry. The Airport IT Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the airport's IT systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with the organization's goals.
- Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network, emails, software, Access points and IT process security) and evaluate them according to established goals and industry best practices
- Install and support LAN, WAN, network segments, Internet, and Intranet systems.
- Maintain and configure the Departure Control Systems link and remote check-in system connectivity with 100% redundancy.
- Configure the Airline systems with new versions, Baggage tag printers, Boarding pass printers, FIDS & troubleshooting to solve the technical issues.
- Configure and maintained Network security using firewalls, switches, and network infrastructure according to industry best practices
- Configure and maintain the CCTV server & client applications
- Devise, establish and enforce IT policies to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
- Design and support MPLS connection and VOIP infrastructure including IP-PBXs call management system.
- Setup, monitor, maintain and audit systems infrastructure according to industry best practices
- Keep up to date with global and local Cyber security events and update internal systems in according to recommendations made by industry experts and trends
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive airport data and systems from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and breaches.
- Analyse the technological business requirements of all departments
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technical equipment and software
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
- Coordinate, manage and supervise all members of the IT department
- Managing financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, and scheduling expenditures
- Creating IT policies (DR and HA), SOP's, managing IT files and maintaining IT assets according to the Audit requirements
- Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT management, with a track record of successfully teams and managing complex IT projects.
- Knowledge of specialized aviation systems such as AODB (Airport Operational Database), FIDS (Flight Information Display System), BHS (Baggage Handling System), and security systems.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity practices and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Security Firewalls (FortiGate & Cisco ASA), MCSA, CCNP, ITIL are advantageous.
