Job Description
The IT Governance & Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting IT governance and compliance activities, including policy and process management, compliance reviews, audit readiness, and governance reporting. The role ensures IT policies, standards, and procedures remain aligned with organizational requirements, regulatory expectations, and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Process Governance
- Develop, review, update, and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensure alignment of IT policies with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Manage governance documentation, version control, and approval workflows.
- Identify governance gaps and recommend process improvements.
- Coordinate policy reviews and stakeholder feedback.
Compliance Monitoring & Reviews
- Conduct compliance reviews covering governance controls, policy adherence, and process compliance.
- Review supporting documents and compliance evidence.
- Prepare compliance reports and monitoring updates.
- Identify compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and corrective actions.
- Track remediation efforts and follow up with stakeholders.
Audit Readiness & Coordination
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Coordinate audit requirements, evidence gathering, and documentation submission.
- Track audit findings and remediation action plans.
- Monitor closure of audit observations and compliance issues.
Governance Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare governance reports, dashboards, presentations, and compliance summaries.
- Consolidate and maintain governance records and documentation.
- Support governance meetings, workshops, and stakeholder coordination.
- Provide governance insights and recommendations to management.
Operational Support
- Maintain governance and compliance records, files, and documentation repositories.
- Perform day-to-day governance administration and monitoring activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 2 years experience in IT Governance, IT Compliance, Audit Support, IT Service Management, Process Documentation, or related functions.
- Experience in policy documentation, compliance reviews, governance assessments, or audit coordination is preferred.
- Background in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.
