The Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with database management, performance tuning, and data security.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Management:
.Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
.Ensure high availability and reliability of database environments.
.Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.

Performance Tuning:
.Monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes.
.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
.Implement best practices for database performance tuning.

Data Security:
.Implement and maintain security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
.Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and policies.

Troubleshooting and Support:
.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
.Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
.Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Database Design and Development:
.Design and implement database schemas and structures.
.Develop and maintain database scripts and stored procedures.
.Collaborate with development teams to support application requirements.

Reporting and Analytics:
.Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track database performance and usage.
.Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
.Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
.3+ years of experience in database administration.
.Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
.Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
.Experience with data security best practices and tools.
.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional).
.Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
.Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
.Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
