GECO Asia is looking for a highly skilled iOS Developer to join our growing technology team. This role is perfect for someone with deep iOS expertise who also enjoys working across the full stack. If you want to build highquality crossplatform mobile apps using React Native while still staying handson with native iOS development, this opportunity is for you.
Key ResponsibilitiesiOS & React Native Development (Primary)- Build and maintain the iOS application using React Native and TypeScript.
- Develop native iOS modules (Swift/ObjectiveC) when needed.
- Optimize iOS performancememory management, launch time, animations, battery usage.
- Manage the App Store deployment pipeline (TestFlight, code signing, app submissions).
- Implement iOS-specific features such as APNs push notifications, deep linking, permissions, and HealthKit integrations.
- Debug iOS issues using Xcode, Instruments, Flipper, and React Native tools.
- Ensure consistent UX across iOS and Android versions.
Backend Development Contributions- Build and maintain mobile-related NestJS API endpoints.
- Contribute to Python backend services for automation and mobile workflows.
- Design optimized API responses (pagination, caching, offline patterns).
- Write database queries and manage schemas in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Web Frontend Contributions- Contribute to React/TypeScript web features as needed.
- Support shared logic between React Native and React web.
- Participate in code reviews across mobile, backend, and web.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development and solve platform challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 35 years of mobile development experience, including at least 2 years with React Native + iOS.
- Strong iOS fundamentals (UIKit/SwiftUI concepts, native modules, platform APIs, Instruments).
- React Native expertisenavigation, native bridge, state management, Expo ecosystem.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency.
- Backend experience with NestJS/Node.js for mobile-focused APIs.
- Basic Python skills (scripting, automation, simple API development).
- App Store deployment experience (TestFlight, code signing, review process).
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and local storage (Core Data/SQLite).
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools and LLM APIs.
- Good English communication for documentation and async collaboration.
Nice to Have- Android or Kotlin experience for crossplatform debugging.
- Knowledge of Core ML or on-device ML concepts.
- Experience with HealthKit or other health-related frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools for mobile (Fastlane, GitHub Actions).
