ARQ SME BDC is seeking an Investor Relations & Corporate Finance Officer to join our dynamic wholesale financing team. This role is central to our fundraising strategy and investor communication efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective investors, creating compelling investor materials, and supporting the firm's capital formation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investor relations, fundraising, or corporate finance within private credit, private equity, or alternative asset management.
Responsibilities
- Fundraising Support: Assist in the development and execution of fundraising strategies, including the preparation of pitch books, due diligence materials, and responses to investor queries.
- Investor Communication: Produce high-quality investor reporting, including quarterly letters, performance updates, and ad-hoc communications. Maintain and update investor presentation materials.
- Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for existing and potential investors, ensuring consistent and transparent communication. Help organize investor meetings, conferences, and site visits.
- Data & Analytics: Collaborate with finance and investment teams to track fund performance, AUM, and other key metrics. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data presented to investors. Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, investor preferences, and competitor activity to inform fundraising and investor relations strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure all investor materials and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; CFA, CAIA, or MBA a plus.
- 35 years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, corporate finance, or a related role within private credit, private equity, or an alternative asset management firm.
- Strong understanding of financial institutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and financial modeling. Experience with CRM systems a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
